Multiple Dental ImplantsAn Overview
When more than one tooth is lost or missing, multiple dental implants can provide an effective replacement with durable results. Dental implants provide long-term and highly effective results for patients missing multiple teeth. Multiple missing teeth can be replaced using several separate dental implants to replace individual teeth, with the use of a bridge to replace consecutive missing teeth or with the use of a denture to replace an entire row of teeth. Dental implants are the most natural-looking and innovative solution for replacing missing teeth.
Dr. Ira Goldberg or Dr. Rajeev Upadya will meet one-on-one with each dental implant patient. During your consultation at our East Hanover, NJ dentist office, they will perform a thorough dental health exam and discuss all of your treatment options with you. Together, you will build a comprehensive treatment plan to restore both aesthetics and function to your smile. Metropolitan Center for Complete Dentistry offers dental implants under one roof to our patients. This means we will treat you at every step in your implants process including the surgical placement.

Multiple Dental Implants What to Expect
Dental Implant Supported Bridge
For several consecutive missing teeth, Dr. Goldberg or Dr. Upadya may recommend using a dental bridge supported with a dental implant. An implant supported bridge is similar to a traditional bridge except it is supported by dental implants instead of your natural teeth. Two or more implant posts will be surgically implanted in the jaw bone. These posts will permanently secure the dental bridge restoration. The implants will also help to stimulate natural bone growth in the jaw and maintain the structure of your face.
Dental Implant Supported Denture
For our patients who are missing an entire arch of teeth, we also offer the All-On-4 procedure at our East Hanover, NJ dentist office. This new technique offers the benefits of dental implants to edentulous patients with diminished bone structure and is recommended to secure a denture. The All-on-4 dental implants technique uses as few as four strategically placed dental implants that will secure a cosmetic denture for a functional and stable smile.
After the dental implants are surgically place, it will take about 3-6 months for the posts to fully heal and fuse with the jaw bone. Once fully healed, a custom designed dental restoration (bridge or denture) will be secured to the implants by one of our dentists at Metropolitan Center for Complete Dentistry in East Hanover, NJ. With the use of modern technology, your dental bridge or denture can now be color matched to your natural smile for a perfect fit. Dental implant secured restorations offer natural looking and secure teeth replacement options.
